Service area questions
Do you charge more for areas further from Visalia?
There is no separate trip fee bolted onto the invoice. The flat rate we quote already reflects the distance, so what you are told on the phone is what you pay. What does change with distance is notice: Visalia Meadows or California City wants a day's notice where Hanford usually does not.
My town is not on the list. Do you still serve it?
Very possibly. This list covers the communities we deliver to most regularly, not the outer limits of where we will go. Call and ask — and if we genuinely cannot cover you we will say so rather than waste your time.
Do you mean the city of Tulare or Tulare County?
Both exist, and it causes real confusion. Tulare is a city about fifteen minutes south of Visalia; Tulare County is the whole area including Visalia itself. We always ask which someone means, because the rules are different. Our area also crosses into Kings County for Hanford and Lemoore and Fresno County for Kingsburg.
Am I inside the City of Visalia or in the county?
Worth knowing, because it decides whether you have City collection service. Plenty of addresses with a Visalia postal address are unincorporated Tulare County - Goshen, Ivanhoe, Cutler, Orosi, Traver and Tipton among them. Out there disposal is a private arrangement, which is exactly the gap a container fills.
